Welcome to the Food Quality Schemes Project !

Considering the constant increase of Quality Assurance and Certification schemes, the European Parliament has requested the European Commission to analyse the opportunity to implement a Community legal framework for the protection of such schemes in the Food Chain.

In order to ensure that the best available knowledge in the field is backed by the reality of the Food Chain, the European Commission decided to build the analysis on a combination of research and direct input from stakeholders.

 

The project has now been finalised.
